      About us

We are students of the Geology and Geophysical Department of Novosibirsk State University (Russia), which is located in the very heart of Siberia. Novosibirsk is a modern city with high rates of industrial, cultural and scientific development. The very special part of our city is called Academgorodok.  It is unique place where high education is integrated with the most progressive scientific achievements. Along with the NSU more than 30 research institutes are located in one district. This creates unprecedented conditions for education and development of Earth Sciences.

Scientific and technological centers of international service companies, such as Baker Atlas, Schlumberger etc. are also located here. They actively cooperate with NSU and Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Science. Other companies of the oil and gas industry gladly hire our university’s graduates.

NSU SPE student chapter is designed to unite young geologists and geophysicists interested in the oil and gas field. It eagers to give them an opportunity to increase their professional knowledge and competence, to provide them with the most actual information, and to establish contacts with the colleagues from all over the world.
